I would like to start off my career success story with how I got where I am today. Since graduating from Ashton college with human resources management diploma this course has allowed me to become a successful candidate with CPHR Alberta. The journey to get where I have been so exciting, I started off as a human resource generalist/ payroll and scheduling working in the medical field then my next journey took me to a full cycle recruitment. Then I took another role as an HR generalist in the oil field which allowed me to look at what I really wanted to focus on in human resources management. By having these each individual jobs, it allowed me to truly figure out where I wanted to be under the human resource management umbrella. I figured out that I wanted to be a human resources manager/advisor. This experience and the education have since landed my current role of facilitator of teams and culture being able to manage the whole human resources department. I'm doing everything from training and development 2 recruitment to new hires and their compensation and benefits to disciplinary actions payroll and full cycle human resources role.
Even though I had experience in human resources prior to attending Ashton college. Taking this course at Ashton college gave me the extensive knowledge skill set and prepared me for the challenges that I may face in the role as a human resource management, this course at Ashton college allowed me to be knowledgeable especially going into my first role with labour relations it prepared me for the challenges when dealing with collective agreement, collective bargaining, and grievances. But the one true impact that Ashton college gave me with the skills and knowledge of how to deal with all sorts of people, culture and all the challenges we face in society today especially being in human resource. With having this diploma in human resource management behind me it gave me the skills and abilities to deal with all sorts of situations that I've encountered thus far, and the impact it has how do I mean by taking this course and taking that leap of faith has just made me a stronger human resources management professional.
For any person looking to either start their career or go back to school I strongly encourage you to take that leap of faith and take this course in human resource management with Ashton College whether you do it online or in class the value, impact, and knowledge you will gain through this course will help your success in the future. Having the knowledge that I do now was worth all the time and effort I put into school I worked hard I stayed focused, and all my hard work and dedication has proven effective as it's landed me my true dream job and that it was worth it all in the end.
