The Ashton Achievement Awards took place on Saturday, December 7. The event was held at Canyon House at Capilano Suspension Park. After the ceremony, students had complimentary access to the Canyon Lights thanks to our generous sponsor Wolters Kluwer CCH.
Our sponsor Hanamo Florist Vancouver supplied us with a beautiful centre piece.
For the past several months our grad committee has worked their hardest to ensure this day was every bit as special as it should be.
Patrick Fowler – Director of Student Administration, was our MC for the event. He kept things moving along smoothly while also sneaking in a joke or two!
Faculty key note speaker, Darwin Fraser, compared an Ashton education to the strong roots all plants need to “blossom”.
Ashton College President, Colin Fortes, gave an inspirational speech to this years 2013 Winter graduates.
Our Keynote Address came from faculty member Bart Zych who walked from Hope BC to Calgary AB to raise money for children in need. Way to go Bart!
