It should come as no surprise to find out that the Quebec Immigration Consultant Exam is offered exclusively in French. French is the official language of Quebec and if you are working as an immigration consultant in the province then most of your work is going to be conducted in the French language.

In order to be considered capable of performing the duties of an immigration consultant in French, you must be able to demonstrate a level of knowledge of the French language equal to or greater than level 7 on the Quebec scale of French language proficiency levels for adult immigrants. The scale goes from 1-12, with 7 being considered an “advanced intermediate” level equivalent to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Your French language proficiency test is separate from the Quebec Immigration Consultant Exam, but the level of French proficiency you need to successfully take on the exam will be similar to the proficiency you will need to perform your duties as a Quebec immigration consultant.
