Register TodayThis course will explore the fundamental processes of Canadian Citizenship. Students will become familiar with the different ways someone can become a Canadian citizen as well as the necessary steps and documentation for application. This course will look at the rights and legislation surrounding Canadian citizenship and how citizenship is granted. Other topics covered in this course will be the citizenship test and oath, resumption of citizenship, renouncing, revoking and time deadlines and grounds for citizenship appeals.

Although there are no formal admission requirements for this course, due to the advanced nature of the material covered, it is presumed that attendees have a basic knowledge of Canadian Immigration Law in general and this topic in particular.
Upon completion of the course requirements, a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
Live Online Students
Ashton College uses web conferencing tools for conducting online classes and online learning management systems for managing resources, assignments, and grades. These tools help instructors and students connect live online as well as asynchronously. The basic requirements for online learning include a computer, webcam, speakers, and a microphone or a headset and headphones, along with a reliable internet connection. Though online learning can be pursued using smartphones and tablets, the use of laptops or desktop computers is encouraged for an enhanced learning experience.
