Register TodayIn this course students will become familiar with the international student immigration process. Students will explore study permits and the necessary criteria for obtaining and applying for a study permit. This course will look at the details surrounding working in Canada while on a study permit, having an accompanying spouse join a student in Canada, as well as the regulations surrounding minors and caring for a minor as a student. Students will also become familiar with the application process and all of the required forms for application.

Although there are no formal admission requirements for this course, due to the advanced nature of the material covered, it is presumed that attendees have a basic knowledge of Canadian Immigration Law in general and this topic in particular.
Upon completion of the course requirements, a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
Live Online Students
Ashton College uses web conferencing tools for conducting online classes and online learning management systems for managing resources, assignments, and grades. These tools help instructors and students connect live online as well as asynchronously. The basic requirements for online learning include a computer, webcam, speakers, and a microphone or a headset and headphones, along with a reliable internet connection. Though online learning can be pursued using smartphones and tablets, the use of laptops or desktop computers is encouraged for an enhanced learning experience.
