How do Summer Study Rebates Work?

What are Ashton’s Summer Rebates? 

These rebates are part of our Summer Rebate Campaign. We are highlighting our programs that will be starting in the summer, and you can get a $500 tuition rebate from the program fees. Registration fee still applies. 

Disclaimer: These rebates only work when you have applied and been accepted into the program. Number of students and required competencies may vary depending on applicability. 

What programs are featured: 

1. Immigration Legal Assistant Certificate  

Immigration Legal Assistants help with the ongoing duties in law firms and immigration consultation offices. Especially in a place like Canada, it is an important sector that helps welcome immigrants from all over the world and with open arms. This course serves as an introduction to those that are curious about the immigration sector. 

As for general learning objectives, you would soon learn the general overview of what you need to know in terms of Canadian Law and Immigration Law. Additionally, practical skills in writing specific documents and forms would also be taught. Not to mention, you would also know the rules and ethics of how an immigration consultant office or law firm work. 

2. Unit Clerk Certificate  

Unit Clerks are clerical workers in the health sector. They deal with the day-to-day administrative work while also coordinating with other health staff to keep the flow of operations running smoothly. Without them, the doctors and nurses would be so much busier. 

As for general learning objectives, you will come to understand and utilize all the medical terminologies and drug names, as well as their uses. You would even know how to record keep and manage patient information. As well as interpreting, recording, and sending orders to your coworkers as prescribed. 

3. Education Assistant Diploma  

As Education Assistants, you are there to provide well-rounded support, as well as customized teaching to those who need it. Not only with their studies, but you will be a part of their development as human beings and provide them with the necessary skills including socialization and life-long strategies. The clients would be in their youth years, which makes the job more intrinsically valuable. 

As for general learning objectives, you will learn about the many types of disabilities as well as their specifics which range from behavioural to psychiatric. You would also come to understand the relationship between the disability and the whole person. Additionally, you would be able to properly develop strategies for research to better help others to gain independence and identity. 

4. Human Resources Management Diploma  

Human Resources act as the backbone of any company. Dealing with the most junior of staff, to the highest member that is the executive level. You will touch every part of an employee's cycle from hiring and benefits to ongoing training and dealing with any conflicts. HR professionals can choose to be generalists and try out every bit of the cycle or choose to become more specialized going into employee law, retention, or diversity and inclusion to name a few. 

As for general learning objectives, you will learn the importance and how to maintain the health and safety of the workplace. Additionally, you will know how to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing. You will also know the importance of talent acquisition and what constitutes good or bad potential employees. 

5. Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker Certificate  

As a Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker, you are there to provide support, as the job title describes. By understanding and implementing your knowledge on different types of mental health issues and addictions, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team focusing on client treatment and rehabilitation. 

As for general learning objectives, you would be learning a broad overview of the kinds of mental illnesses and substance abuse that exist. You would also understand the risks that relate to these abuses and illnesses. And from there, you would be able to effectively promote the prevention of such problems from happening again. 

 

How do you apply the codes for the Career Programs? 

1) Make sure you have all the programs you want to apply to (specifically the ones above). But for this example, let’s use the Unit Clerk Course and its rebate code EMAILREBATE. 

 

2) Input the code into the code text box. 

 

3) Once you click on the “apply” button, you would see on the bottom right that you have updated it. You can tell that it works when it successfully shows itself on the bottom right.
