The Life Licence Qualification program (LLQP) suits individuals interested in insurance or life insurance careers or those already working in the industry seeking further insight. Licence prerequisites include financial reliability, absence of criminal history, and no prior disciplinary actions. Successful candidates gain the ability to sell life insurance products, opening doors to enhanced career prospects and professional growth.
You are required to obtain your insurance licence within 12 months of the date after you pass your first exam module. If you fail to obtain your licence within this time, you must rewrite all the exam modules that fall outside of the twelve months. The passing grade per module is 60%.

The exams are 75 minutes in duration. The Life Insurance, Segregated Funds and Annuities, Accident and Sickness Insurance modules have 30 questions each, and the Ethics and Professional Practice modules have 20 questions. As of July 1st of 2024, you are allowed four attempts at passing each separate module.
