Service Canada has stated that, due to outsourcing of bookkeeping, as well as an increase in self-employment in this field, the number of employment opportunities for bookkeepers should significantly increase across the country over the next few years. Skilled Immigrant has reported that entry-level salaries for bookkeepers range from $20,000 to $30,000 a year, with an average hourly rate across British Columbia at $18.81/hour. As you develop in your career, you can start expecting to receive a salary upwards of $60,000.
